This state panel discussed options for implementing the National Electronic Interstate Compact Enterprise (NEICE). NEICE is the electronic exchange of data regarding the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC). New York staff shared their perspective on using the NEICE Case Management System (CMS) and Ohio staff shared their perspective on incorporating ICPC functionality in the state system with a direct data exchange with the NEICE clearinghouse. In addition, representatives from APHSA answered questions related to the NEICE clearinghouse and to CMS. This webinar concluded with a question and answer session about both options.

LeadingAgile (Children’s Bureau contracted Agile implementation consultants) led a webinar on how to promote strong, collaborative relationships between program staff and information technology (IT) staff. While much of the content was in the context of Agile collaboration, this presentation was designed to be of benefit to those practicing all types of IT development approaches.

This DSS presentation is the second in a two-part series on CCWIS cost allocation and the difference between CCWIS and non-CCWIS cost allocation. It explains how to use the CCWIS Automated Function Checklist to develop a CCWIS cost allocation plan. In addition, it explains how to apply the cost allocation plan to project costs and how to submit cost allocation plans.

This DSS hosted webinar describes the lessons learned from implementing mobile solutions in Washington and in Minnesota, which is a state managed, county-administered state.  The presentation included representatives from Winona County and Carver County Minnesota who spoke about their county-level mobile solutions.

The Children's Bureau hosted a state panel from the previous cloud computing webinar held on September 5, 2018 for a follow-up discussion. The previous webinar on implementing a cloud computing strategy for child welfare information systems received very positive feedback and while it provided valuable information, there was insufficient time to fully explore all the issues. 

The Children's Bureau hosted a state panel discussion on implementing cloud computing/cloud solutions for child welfare information systems. This discussion included a description and background of each state’s implementation of a cloud solution, maintenance and enhancements of the systems with this approach, and lessons learned. The panel concluded with a question and answer session.

This webinar series from 2017 focused on the topics of using child welfare administrative data and program sustainability. The experiences of grantees funded through the federal Permanency Innovations Initiative (PII) are highlighted in each webinar.

The Children's Bureau, Division of State Systems (DSS) hosted a state panel discussion about recording intake calls.  The panel, consisting of representatives from Colorado, Iowa, and New Jersey, responded to questions about their reasons for recording intake calls, how their child welfare service providers use the recordings, and about their lessons learned.  The webinar concluded with a question and answer segment.
