This webinar described the Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) Technical Assistance Review Process. It began with an overview of the lessons learned from the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS) review process. The presentation described the iterative review process and it explains the use of self-assessment tools. As of this presentation, some self-assessment tools were available for public comment and others were in development.

This webinar provided direction on how to construct an action plan, identified common pitfalls and benefits of action plans and described the tracking process for action plans.

Technical Bulletin #1: Action Plan Guidance and Examples provides guidance for states developing action plans for the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS) Assessment Review Report (SARR). Technical Bulletin #2: Systems Issues Related to Reporting and Evaluating Caseworker Visits provides guidance to States on system issues related to the collection and reporting of information on caseworker visits with children in foster care.
