Diligent Recruitment of Families for Children in the Foster Care System: Challenges and Recommendations for Policy and Practice describes how child welfare agencies can improve diligent recruitment practices and services for resource families. It is based on grantee final reports and published research and presents activities undertaken by grantees, lessons learned, and suggestions for improvement.

This report presents results regarding parent engagement from CFSRs conducted in the 38 states that were reviewed during the first 3 years of round 3 of the CFSRs.

The purpose of this Information Memorandum (IM) is to demonstrate that family and youth voice are critical to a well-functioning child welfare system and to strongly encourage all public child welfare agencies, dependency courts, and Court Improvement Programs to work together to ensure that family and youth voice are central in child welfare program planning and improvement efforts.

This report presents findings from the supplemental outcomes report for the National Study of the Title IV-E Child Welfare Demonstration, which examined jurisdictions’ collective experience implementing their demonstrations and operating with increased fiscal flexibility.

This technical assistance document provides guidance to title IV-E agencies about engaging and involving youth in foster care and young adults formerly in foster care (youth and young adults) in the design and development of child welfare information systems, websites, or applications. In addition, the document discusses overcoming barriers with identifying and engaging youth and young adults in the software development process.
