This report presents national data about child abuse and neglect known to child protective services agencies in the United States during federal fiscal year 2017.

A Children’s Code authorizes a court to provide protection for children and potentially intervene for the general welfare of a child whose health, welfare, and safety are at risk. Children’s Codes provide definitions of abuse and neglect and contain laws pertaining to abuse and neglect reports and investigations.

This report provides information for determining tribes’ Federal Medical Assistance Percentages (FMAPs) for fiscal year 2019.

This report provides the Federal Medical Assistance Percentages (FMAPs) for fiscal years 2018 and 2019 as well as relevant per capita income data for tribes expressing interest in operating title IV-E programs.

Families and children make up approximately one-third of the homeless population in the United States. These families are at greater risk of entering the child welfare system and face greater challenges in working toward reunification than families involved in child welfare who have stable housing. Child welfare agencies struggle in helping families manage both case plans and housing challenges. By connecting with community housing partners and local housing authorities, agencies can reduce the barriers families may face in obtaining affordable housing and help those families sustain their new home over time.

This Program Instruction (PI) provides guidance to state, territorial and tribal title IV-E agencies on the actions required to apply for title IV-B, subpart 2 funding to support the development, enhancement or evaluation of kinship navigator programs.

Letter to update Child Welfare Directors on the Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse

This toolkit, which is primarily intended for child welfare agencies and professionals to use in partnership with their evaluators, introduces the concept of formative evaluation, a method for evaluating programs during early implementation in order to inform program improvement and assess readiness for rigorous summative evaluation.

This report provides information about state programs receiving assistance under Section 106 of the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) and the federal training and technical assistance states receive to help them achieve the desired program improvements specified in their CAPTA and other federally mandated plans.
