This technical assistance brief provides a copy of the NYTD survey questions from the NYTD regulation (45 CFR1356.82(a)(2) and (3); Appendix B to Part 1356) and provides a Spanish translation of the survey.

The purpose of this PI is to set forth the eligibility requirements and the grant application
procedures for FY 2023 Children’s Justice Act (CJA) grants and to provide the tentative State
allocation table.

The purpose of this Program Instruction (PI) is to set forth the eligibility requirements and grant application procedures for the State CIP grant for FY 2024, including updating the five-year strategic plan, and to provide guidance on the requirements for state courts to continuously assess and improve the handling of court proceedings related to child welfare and enhance collaboration with title IV-B/IV-E agencies and Tribes.

A panel discussion with Lived Experience Experts from the Children’s Bureau and Think of Us offers insights on how technology might have addressed a challenge they experienced while in care. This webinar reinforces the idea that technology innovations can have real world impacts on youth in care and provides guidance on how to engage lived experience throughout a CCWIS project. 

This Program Instruction (PI) provides guidance to Indian Tribes, Indian Tribal Organizations and Indian Tribal Consortia (hereafter “tribes,” unless otherwise noted) on actions they are required to take to receive their allotments authorized under title IV-B, subparts 1 and 2, and Chafee and ETV programs for Federal Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 (subject to the availability of appropriations).

This technical bulletin provides title IV-E agencies that develop a comprehensive child welfare information system (CCWIS) with information about technical assistance, self-assessment tools, and monitoring reviews.

This report includes documentation from Alabama’s Adoption and Foster Care Analysis and Reporting System (AFCARS) assessment review for fiscal year 2011.

This brief is intended to strengthen how CFSR reviewers make a determination for item 12 of the Onsite Review Instrument and Instructions. Item 12 assesses whether an agency made concerted efforts to (1) assess the needs of children, parents, and foster parents to identify the services necessary to achieve case goals and adequately address the issues relevant to the agency’s involvement with the family and (2) provide the appropriate services.
