This document provides guiding principles, a suggested framework, and resources and tools states can use when completing a quality statewide assessment for the Child and Family Services Reviews.

This report to Congress provides national totals of planned spending by service category for the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Child Welfare Services program and planned and actual spending by service category for the Promoting Safe and Stable Families program.

This report provides information for determining tribes’ Federal Medical Assistance Percentages (FMAPs) for fiscal year 2023.

The Children’s Bureau posts an annual FY summary of Form CB-496 expenditures and caseloads as reported by each title IV-E agency. These data tables include the combination of current-quarter and prior-quarter adjustment expenditures and current-quarter caseload data as delineated in quarterly Form CB-496 submissions for each FY.

On February 3, 2022 the Children’s Bureau hosted a webinar on Title IV-E Program Data Submission which demonstrated using the National Child Welfare Data Management System (NCWDMS). The Webinar and Presentation slides may be accessed through the links below. 

This Program Instruction (PI) provides guidance to Indian Tribes, Indian Tribal Organizations and Indian Tribal Consortia (hereafter “tribes,” unless otherwise noted) on actions they are required to take to receive their allotments authorized under title IV-B, subparts 1 and 2, and Chafee and ETV programs for Federal Fiscal Year (FY)1 2023 (subject to the availability of appropriations).
