TO: State agencies administering child support enforcement plans under Title IV-D of the Social Security Act and other interested individuals.

SUBJECT: Allocation of 80 percent matching funds.

EFFECTIVE DATE: August 19, 1998

ATTACHMENT: The Federal share of funding available at an 80 percent matching rate for child support enforcement automated systems changes resulting from the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act is limited to a total of $400,000,000 for fiscal years 1996 through 2001. The attached final rule  (PDF) responds to the requirement that the Secretary of Health and Human Services issue regulations which specify a formula for allocating this sum among the States, Territories and eligible systems.
