Dear Colleague:

In accordance with section 3506(c)(2)(A) of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, OCSE is soliciting public comment about the Intergovernmental Reference Guide (IRG) Visit disclaimer page on (a) whether the information is necessary for the proper performance of the functions of the agency; (b) the accuracy of the estimated burden; (c) the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and (d) ways to minimize the burden.  A notice for public comment was published in the Federal Register, page 41042, Volume 86, Number 144, July 30, 2021 (PDF) Visit disclaimer page .

The IRG is an online repository of profiles with high-level descriptions of each child support program. It also provides an efficient way to access and update profiles with information needed for state, tribal, and foreign country child support agencies to process intergovernmental child support cases.

We made significant revisions to the state profile, which consolidated 339 state profile questions into 180 questions. The content of the tribal questions remains unchanged.

Please send your comments and suggestions to and reference OMB control number 0970-0209. Consideration will be given to comments received before October 1, 2021.
