SUBJECT: Questions and Answers on Working Child Support Cases with Canada
The attached questions and answers were presented by Canadian officials on an NCSEA international subcommittee call on Dec. 17, 2019. OCSE is sharing this information as a useful resource for case processing with Canadian provinces and territories.
Canada is a major U.S. partner in international child support. The U.S. currently has federal-level reciprocity with 12 of the 13 Canadian provinces and territories. Canada is not yet party to the Hague Child Support Convention, but is making progress toward joining.
