SUBJECT: Training for Finding the Right Security Control Assessor for FPLS Access

Dear Colleague:

I am pleased to announce that the training for tribal agencies on Finding the Right Security Control Assessor for FPLS Access is now available on our website. An independent security assessment is required prior to being granted access to the Federal Parent Locator Service (FPLS). This training which was presented in a webinar to tribal directors on August 24, 2017, is designed to help tribes understand the process for finding a qualified security control assessor.

The training provides an overview of these topics:

  • Purpose of security assessments
  • Acceptable security assessments
  • Qualifications of assessors
  • Tribal security agreements

You may view the webinar or download the presentation (PDF).

I hope you find this information beneficial. If you need additional information, contact Angela Kasey-Henry at Angela.Kasey-Henry@acf.hhs.gov.
