Tribal Consultation: November 16, 2023

Dear Tribal Leader:

The Office of Child Support Services (OCSS) will host a virtual Tribal Consultation on November 16, 2023. During this session, OCSS leadership will seek input on the Notice of Proposed Rule Making — Parentage Establishment in the Child Support Services Program  (PDF) published in the Federal Register on September 26, 2023.

The OCSS Tribal Consultation session is from 1 pm to 5 pm ET. Tribal leaders, or their designee, can request to speak and provide input and testimony. Attendance is limited to three representatives per tribe or tribal organization.

Please register to attend by November 14, 2023.

After registering, each participant will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the consultation.

You may submit written testimonies for this consultation to OCSS.DPT@acf.hhs.gov by Saturday, December 16, 2023.  

Your attendance at this consultation does not in any way limit you, a member of your tribe, or anyone else from also submitting written comments and recommendations in accordance with the instructions provided in a proposed rule. Further, at the consultation we cannot address participants' concerns regarding proposed rules or respond to questions about proposed rules other than questions asking for clarification.
