Research Brief: Child Support, Parenting Time, and Safety Concerns

The attached research brief summarizes an extensive assessment that addresses implementation questions and alternatives related to integrating parenting time orders into child support program operations. The assessment also analyzes current practices of establishing parenting time and family violence safeguards, and provides recommendations for next steps in identifying and developing those safeguards. The goal is to help ensure that all parenting time orders are established safely.

This research was conducted by the Center for Policy Research under contract to OCSE and does not necessarily represent the views, positions, or policies of the Department of Health and Human Services.
