STATUTORY REFERENCE: 45 CFR 303.32 and 29 CFR 2590.609-2. The final rule, effective January 26, 2001, implemented provisions of the Child Support Performance and Incentive Act of 1998, Public Law 105-200. These provisions require state child support agencies, under title IV-D of the Social Security Act, to enforce the health care coverage provision in a child support order and to use the NMSN to aid enforcement. Tribal IV-D agencies are not required to use these forms.
BACKGROUND: The only change on the NMSN Parts A and B is the OMB expiration date.
EFFECTIVE DATE: The new NMSN Part A and B forms expire on August 31, 2019.
