The federal Office of Child Support Enforcement is pleased to announce the publication of the Hague Child Support Convention: Judicial Guide. Written specifically for judges, judicial officers, and other court officials, this Guide focuses on the UIFSA 2008 provisions judges need to apply in Hague Child Support Convention cases.

The Guide contains information and procedures about:

  • Matters common to all applications under the Hague Child Support Convention
  • Recognition and enforcement of an order
  • Establishment of Convention orders, including, where necessary, establishment of parentage
  • Modification of an order
  • Specific measures
  • Resources

We encourage child support agencies to share this Guide with judicial colleagues. For information on Convention procedures and requirements for IV-D child support agencies in processing Convention and other international cases, please see the training resources and other materials on the OCSE international webpage.
