Let's Work Together
The storybook theme is Let’s Work Together and it emphasizes the importance of both parents working with the child support program. The storybook describes services the child support program provides plus other services we offer, like referrals to employment programs, health care services, parenting programs, family violence centers, and other social service agencies.
Our Parents page has more information for parents. That's where you'll find resources to understand child support and our Glossary of commonly used child support terms. For information about your specific case or to open a child support case contact your local child support agency.
Let's work together
Some parents come to us to establish paternity.
Others need help finding a job or setting a realistic child support order.
The child support office offers many services
- Locates parents
- Establishes paternity
- Establishes and enforces orders
- Connects you to health care coverage
- Refers you to other services
We work with both mom and dad
because children do better when both parents are involved, even when you are no longer together.
We can help you in several ways
We establish paternity and right-sized child support orders, and enforce those orders.
And when the payments are not made, we ask why? Did you lose your job? Is your child support order too much to pay?
Together, we'll find a solution that works for you
We can also connect you to other programs for food, health care, and other needs. Working together, we can help you identify the problem and find a solution that works for you.
We have many partners
Your child support agency may have partnerships with employment programs, health care services, parenting programs, family violence centers, and other social service agencies to help you support your children.
