SUBJECT: Training Materials Available: International Case Processing Under UIFSA (2008)
BACKGROUND: The Hague Child Support Convention will become effective for the United States on January 1, 2017. After that date, U.S. states will process cases with other countries that have ratified the Convention according to the requirements of the Convention and article 7 of the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act (UIFSA). For more information on the Hague Child Support Convention, UIFSA, and the U.S. ratification process, see the OCSE international website and OCSE AT-14-11, IM-15-01, IM-16-02, DCL-16-11, DCL-16-12, and DCL-16-21.
CONTENT: OCSE is pleased to announce the publication of training documents for the first module of an eight-part series on international case processing under UIFSA 2008. Module 1, Overview of 2007 Hague Child Support Convention, includes a PowerPoint presentation with speaker notes and a train-the-trainer guide.
