PDF Accessibility Training

Accessible for Everyone
Accessibility means making sure your content is available to as many people as possible. To make PDFs accessible we add bookmarks, alt text, tags and other information that make the files readable and navigable to all users, including those who are visually-impaired or mobility-challenged.

The latest versions of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, and Microsoft Word make much it easier to create valid, accessible PDFs. Adobe provides authors with a complete set of tools to create and optimize accessible PDF files from almost any source.  They have put together a video training series that will teach you how to use Acrobat DC to prepare accessible PDF files for people with disabilities.

Video Training Series
Adobe's webinar series explains, in detail, how to take an existing PDFdocument and remediate it for users of assistive software.

In the series Adobe introduces the workflow for creating accessible PDFs from scratch; the basics of remediating an inaccessible document.  They also include techniques, tips, and tricks to make accessibility easy to incorporate in every document you publish. To complete the series you will also learn advanced techniques on how-to work with complex list, tables and form tags.
