Every office has access to a resource library. It is how users search or filter through resources authored or funded by ACF.
When to Use
- When you want to present resources using a keyword search or filtered options
When to Avoid
- When a user can be directed to a particular subset of resources by using a filtered jar in the context of a page (responsive sites only).
- When your content really shouldn't be in the resource library (see Resource Library Items for further guidance)
Guidance
- Resource Libraries should be labeled as “Library” in your navigation
- If it’s the top level of your navigation, it should be “Library”
- If it falls under a menu of other resources, the top line can be Resources, and Library would fall underneath.
- Taxonomies should be consistent across program offices.
- Program Area - formal area of the program office
- Topic — subject matter
- Content Types
Parts of the Resource Library
