OPRE Project

The project content type is limited to the Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation (OPRE) to highlight the numerous projects in its diverse research portfolio.

When to Use

Use the  project content to display information about specific OPRE projects associated with broader research topics.  Projects display on topic landing pages once published.

When to Avoid

Do not interchange use projects and OPRE research topics.  Topics are meant to be broad categories that contain project lists.

Guidance

  • Be consistent in how OPRE projects are titled
  • OPRE publications/resources automatically appear on a project landing page once associated 
  • Ensure newly created/updated projects display on the OPRE Project Index page

Editing Screen

  1. Title*: Enter a descriptive title for the Project content type--use page-specific keywords in the title for better SEO.
  2. Permalink*: The permalink will generate automatically when the title is entered the first time. It may be adjusted. It will not automatically update when the page title is changed. This is the URL for the page.
  3. Summary: Enter a brief description to provide context for your Project content. This will appear in search results.
  4. Body*: This is where the bulk of the content goes; Always use plain language in your content to help the audience understand what is written. Information that is not useful should be left out and sentences should be concise; Proper structuring of your body content is important and necessary to keep an organized flow of all pages throughout the ACF website.
  5. Office Information*: Select the relevant office and editorial group from the drop-down menus.  
  6. Image: Pictures for this content type should be 960px x 456px. You can create or select an existing image using the Select Image(s) button.
  7. Abbreviation: Include shortened names or an acronym.
  8. Project Type*: Select the project type from the drop-down menu: Current or Past Project.
  9. Save/Preview/Delete*: Use these buttons to save, preview, or delete to modify project content type. Always save before previewing changes.
