The purpose of Family Violence Prevention and Services Act Grants to Native American Tribes (including Alaska Native Villages) and Tribal Organizations is to provide funding for Tribes and Tribal organizations through a 10% set aside required by the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA) for Native American Tribes (including Alaska Native villages) and Tribal organizations. The purposes of these grants are to assist Tribes with the following efforts: 1) to increase public awareness about primary and secondary prevention of family violence, domestic violence, and dating violence; and 2) to provide immediate shelter and supportive services for victims of family violence, domestic violence, or dating violence and their dependents.
