Runaway and Homeless Youth Program
Each year, thousands of U.S. youth run away from home, are asked to
leave their homes or become homeless. Through the Runaway and
Homeless Youth Program (RHY), the Family and Youth Services Bureau
supports street outreach, emergency shelters and longer-term
transitional living and maternity group home programs to serve and
protect these young people.
National Clearinghouse on Homeless Youth and Families
The National Clearinghouse on Homeless Youth and Families (NCHYF) is a
national resource for organizations whose programs and services support
youth who are or at risk of experiencing homelessness, those
contemplating running away and their families. NCHYF also serves the
general public interested in learning about these issues and services.
