Get creative for Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month!

Publication Date: March 6, 2017

Art can be a powerful tool for use in programs to educate and engage youth in teen pregnancy prevention.

To promote National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month, FYSB’s Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (APP) Program will host an art contest. Gather youth in your program to creatively share how their APP-funded program is helping them avoid pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections and prepare for successful transition to adulthood. Artwork can be created by up to three youth per entry in the following categories:

  • Photography
  • Paintings/Murals
  • Posters

To enter, submit a photo of the youth-produced artwork and the entry form below by 5 p.m. EST on March 31 to requests@ncfy.com.

Entries will be reviewed by FYSB leadership and staff who will choose winners from each category to receive a Visa gift card for their hard work and creativity. Winning entries will be printed and displayed in the Mary E. Switzer Memorial Building in Washington, D.C. during the month of May 2017, highlighting APP’s mission and grantees’ work to other HHS staff.

We look forward to seeing how youth are preventing pregnancy and benefiting from your program!
