On July 27, 2016, the U.S. Department of Education collaborated with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to present this webinar about education for disengaged and homeless young people.

The FY 2020 Coronavirus Supplemental Funding provides one-time funding to support ACF recipients/grantees funded under the CARES Act in preventing, preparing for, and responding to COVID-19. This information sheet provides guidance on reporting required of grantees as recipients of this funding.  

The Family & Youth Services Bureau (FYSB), Runaway & Homeless Youth (RHY) Program, is actively recruiting new reviewers to support the evaluation of federal grant applications submitted for the Street Outreach Program (SOP). Through the SOP, FYSB supports work with homeless, runaway, street youth and possibly youth exposed to human trafficking, to help them find stable housing and services.

Based on the administrative relief guidance provided by OMB and ACF for recipients and applicants of federal financial assistance directly impacted by COVID-19, FYSB developed these FAQs for Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) grantees seeking additional information on flexibilities available specific to the administration of grants funded under the RHY program. 

This brief document provides guidance for RHY-funded grantees that includes a list of activities and examples of purchases that may support efforts to prevent, prepare for, and respond to COVID-19.

BCP helps create and strengthen community-based programs that meet the immediate needs of runaway and homeless youth under 18 years old.

The Department of Housing and Urban Developmenmt collaborates with FYSB's Runaway and Homeless Youth Program to create opportunities for young people.

The RHY (Runaway and Homeless Youth) final rule reflects existing statutory requirements in the Runaway and Homeless Youth Act and changes made via the Reconnecting Homeless Youth Act of 2008 (Public Law 110-378).
