The National Domestic Violence Hotline, funded by FYSB, is a compassionate, knowledgeable resource focused on shifting power back to those experiencing domestic or dating violence through human connection and practical help every day of the year.
FVPSA formula grants are distributed through states and territories then provided through a sub-awardee process to local public, private, nonprofit, and faith-based organizations to provide shelter and non-residential supportive services to individuals experiencing domestic violence and their children. All federally recognized tribes are eligible to apply for FVPSA Tribal Formula grants.
This resource is a calendar of events funded by the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA) Program in the Family and Youth Services Bureau during October to commemorate Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) 2018. Events include webinars, Facebook chats, in-person programs, and other activities. For 2018, the #1Thing DVAM Campaign focuses on actions everyone can take to reduce domestic violence and bring awareness to the issue.
