June 2020 - Government contracting services established. October 2020 - Began providing acquisition support. September 2022 - Intended to be fully functional. November 2023 - 100+ Personnel providing support to 21 ACF program offices. End of 2025 - Expected to reach full compliance maturity.

GCS began as a dedicated team of 23 staff members, providing essential acquisition support services. Since then, GCS has continually expanded its mission and capabilities, with a target to achieve full operational functionality by September 2025. Today, GCS employs over 120 civilian staff who provide comprehensive support across all 21 ACF program offices. Looking forward, GCS is on track to reach full compliance maturity by the end of 2025, positioning the organization to better serve the needs of children, families, and those in need.
