The purpose of this Bulletin is to clarify questions and issues related to the Tribal Grantee reporting requirements, and to address recent changes to the Tribal Annual Child Care Report (ACF-700).

The purpose of this Technical Bulletin is to clarify reporting issues for Tribal grantees that own and operate a child care center (Tribally Operated Center - TOC) to deliver all or part of their child care services funded by Child Care Development Fund (CCDF). The bulletin addresses frequently asked questions that these grantees have raised with the Office of Child Care (OCC), and with the Child Care Automated Reporting System (CARS) Technical Assistance (TA) Team.

The purpose of this technical bulletin is to clarify issues related to the ACF-700 reporting requirements and to address some of the questions for which tribal grantees have sought assistance from the CARS TA Team.

The purpose of this Technical Bulletin is to clarify several issues surrounding the ACF-801 reporting requirements. Section II provides guidance related to definitions of specific data elements and data element response options. Section III contains contact information if you have questions or need further assistance.

 The Pooling Factor Calculation Worksheet is designed to assist States and Territories that pool Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) dollars with other Federal and State funds with calculating an accurate pooling factor.

ACF-800 State-Level Data Standards – January 2016

This Technical Bulletin lists the data standards for the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Annual ACF-800 Report, including new requirements associated with the reauthorization of the Child Care and Development Act of 2014 (Public Law113-186). The changes required by reauthorization include: 1) addition of element #2a — number of child fatalities (total and by care type, 2) discontinuation of  element #10 — consumer education content topics, 3) change in #11 — methods of consumer education used, and 4) change in the list of non-CCDF funds in the Child Care budget pool. All of these changes are required with the FFY 2016 report.

This Technical Bulletin addresses questions related to using the Child Care Data Tracker (Tracker) software.

The Child Care Data Tracker (Tracker), available to tribes and territories, is a comprehensive case management tool designed to support the collection, management, and utilization of the case-level information needed for the generation of the required ACF-700 and ACF-801 reports.
