Each state and territory must submit the information requested on the ACF-218 by December 31, for the preceding federal fiscal year. Fiscal years run from October 1 through September 30. For example, the FFY 2022 ACF-218 report, which covers from October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022, is due December 31, 2022.

ACF regional offices are responsible for monitoring the timeliness of ACF-218 submissions. If a state/territory is unable to meet the deadline for any reason, contact your regional office as soon as the difficulty is known.
