Dear Colleagues:
Please join the Office of Community Services (OCS) in officially welcoming the new Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Program Operations Branch Chief within the Division of Community Assistance (DCA): Maxine M. Maloney.
As the DCA Program Operations Branch Chief, Maxine will have key technical responsibility and authority for planning, implementation, operation, and management of the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG).
Maxine has been with OCS for two years and was the Program Operations Branch Chief for the Social Services Block Grant (SSBG). Maxine has an extensive career with the federal, local and state governments building systems, developing policy, administering programs and providing technical assistance in child care and Head Start/Early Head Start. Maxine was a 2009 Head Start Fellow with the Office of Child Care and Head Start. In 2016, Maxine was awarded the Child Care Champion Award by the Northern Virginia Association for the Education of Young Children.
Maxine earned a Bachelor's of Science (BS) in Early Childhood from Howard, a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from George Mason University and an Ed.S from George Washington University.
