ACF-OCS-CSBG-DCL-24-07 NASCSP Conference Consultation Office Hours and Sessions FY2024

Dear Colleague,

As part of the Office of Community Services (OCS), Division of Community Assistance’s (DCA) commitment to strengthening direct federal training and technical assistance (TTA), we are pleased to offer Consultation Office Hours and two Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) sessions during the National Association for State Community Services Programs (NASCSP) 2024 Winter Training Conference themed Turning Possibilities into Reality, scheduled for March 11—15, 2024, in Arlington, Virginia.
 

OCS Participation in the NASCSP Conference
 

OCS will provide remarks at the Federal Partner Update session on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 10:00—10:15 a.m. ET and DCA will lead two sessions on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 10:30—11:45 a.m. ET and 1:45—3:00 p.m. ET. These sessions will provide insight on maximizing performance through targeted TTA and demo the new CSBG Performance Management data website. 
 

Purpose of Consultation Office Hours

DCA leadership and staff will also be available by appointment to meet with CSBG administrators during designated Consultation Office Hours. The DCA Consultation Office Hours will provide an opportunity for CSBG administrators to meet with DCA leadership and staff in person to discuss an array of topics such as general Performance Management, CSBG State Plan, CSBG Annual Report, CSBG eligible entity concerns, Information Memorandum clarification, fiscal procedures, state association relations, and training available through the current cohort of technical assistance providers.
 

Scheduling Consultation Office Hours
 

DCA will hold Consultation Office Hours on Tuesday March, 12, 2024 and Wednesday, March 13, 2024. Each consultation will last 30 minutes. Interested CSBG administrators should complete the DCA Consultation Office Hours booking request and send a completed Consultation Office Hours Request (attached) to CSBGStates@acf.hhs.gov, copying Verna.Best@acf.hhs.gov no later than Friday, March 8, 2024. If we are unable to meet with you during the requested time, we will work to schedule another appointment following the conference. CSBG administrators will receive confirmation of their scheduled consultation date and time no later than Monday, March 11, 2024.
 

DCA encourages CSBG grant recipients to strengthen the administration of CSBG through ongoing TTA and we look forward to engaging with as many states, tribes, and territories as possible during the conference!
