PURPOSE

To provide tribes and tribal organizations guidance on how to complete and submit the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Tribal Annual Report.

BACKGROUND

The release of the Office of Community Services (OCS) FY 2022 CSBG Tribal Annual Report signals a strong commitment to documenting the role OCS-funded grants play in addressing persistent poverty and pervasive disparities and inequities. Tribes and tribal organizations are respected and recognized as key contributors to this work; therefore, demonstrating your effectiveness and outcomes is vital to the administration of CSBG. The FY 2022 CSBG Tribal Annual Report provides an opportunity for tribes and tribal organizations to document your success in addressing the unique needs of the communities you serve.

FY2022 TRIBAL CSBG ANNUAL REPORT FILLABLE-PDF TOOL

OCS developed the FY 2022 CSBG Tribal Annual Report Fillable-PDF Tool (referred to as CSBG Tribal Annual Report Tool). The CSBG Tribal Annual Report Tool is organized to comply with federal requirements for tracking CSBG funding.

All CSBG tribal grant recipients are encouraged to complete the CSBG Tribal Annual Report Tool. CSBG tribal grant recipients that used the tool last year had fewer errors and were successful in submitting comprehensive reports.

TIP: Before you enter data, be sure to download the CSBG Tribal Annual Report Tool, save it, and open it in Adobe Acrobat.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE

CSBG tribal grant recipients must submit their FY 2022 CSBG Tribal Annual Reports by March 31, 2023, via the On-Line Data Collection system (OLDC). The reporting period for this report is 10/1/2021 — 9/30/2022.

FY 2022 CSBG ANNUAL REPORT MATERIALS

All CSBG Tribal Annual Report materials and information can be found on the CSBG Tribal Resource Center including the following:

 OLDC SUBMISSION STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

CSBG tribal grant recipients will follow the OLDC Step-by-Step Instructions to complete the SF-424M application and attach the completed CSBG Tribal Annual Report in OLDC.

  • All CSBG tribal grant recipients should attempt to log into their OLDC account to confirm that login credentials are up to date.
  • If you experience technical difficulties, contact Niki Frazier and Monique Alcantara.

CSBG TRIBAL ANNUAL REPORT CONTENT AND REQUIREMENTS

The FY 2022 CSBG Tribal Annual Report will detail the following:

  1. An accounting of how FY 2022 CSBG funds were spent on the service delivery, including budget and expenses.
  2. Information on the number and characteristics of clients served.
  3. Information on the way CSBG funding was mobilized to  meet goals and objectives.
  4. Information on the types of projects/activities supported by FY 2022 CSBG funds.
  5. Information on CSBG accomplishments.
  6. Outcomes achieved under the CSBG national goals.
