Dear Colleague,

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Community Services (OCS), Division of Community Assistance (DCA) announces the release of over $190 million of Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2023 regular block grant funding to Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) grant recipients. This funding is provided under Public Law 117-328, Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023, which the President signed into law on December 29, 2022. This release reflects an allocation of CSBG funds for the second quarter.

Under this Public Law, CSBG grant recipients and eligible entities may revise the federal poverty line (FPL) by substituting "200 percent" for "125 percent" for FY 2022 (October 1, 2021 — September 30, 2022) and FY 2023 (October 1, 2022 — September 30, 2023).

Please find the attached table outlining the amounts allocated to all states, territories, and tribes through March 31, 2023. OCS anticipates the release of the balance of funding (third and fourth quarters) minus the 1 percent set-aside in spring 2023.
