Dear Colleague,

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Community Services (OCS), Division of Community Assistance (DCA) announces the release of over $375 million of Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 regular block grant funding to Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) grant recipients. These awards represent the total allocation of available funding for FY 2023. This funding is provided under Public Law 117-328, Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023, which the President signed into law on December 29, 2022. 

Please note, the CSBG allocation amounts reflect a 1% reduction due to the Secretary’s authority to transfer funding to HHS’s discretionary accounts.

Under this Public Law, CSBG grant recipients and eligible entities may revise the federal poverty line (FPL) by substituting "200 percent" for "125 percent" for FY 2022 (October 1, 2021 — September 30, 2022) and FY 2023 (October 1, 2022 — September 30, 2023).

Please find the attached table outlining the total amounts allocated to all states, territories, and tribes for FY 2023.
