Re: FY 2017 2nd CR Allocation Release

Dear Colleagues:

The purpose of this message is to provide you with an update on allocations of Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funding during the second quarter of Fiscal Year (FY) 2017.

Based on the Continuing Resolution (CR) passed by Congress and signed by the President on December 10, 2016, a second allocation of CSBG funds in the amount of $223 million is being released with funding through April 28, 2017. A chart outlining the amounts allocated to all States, Territories, and Tribes through April 28, 2017 is attached.

Please note that 1% of the total annualized CR funding level for CSBG has been reserved to preserve the Secretary’s authority to transfer funding within HHS’s discretionary accounts. Final FY 2017 allocation amounts for each state will be determined based on the application of the CSBG formula after passage of a full-year appropriation.
