Re: FY 2016 2nd Quarter Allocations Update

Dear Colleagues,

The purpose of this message is to provide you with an update on the second quarter allocations of the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funds for fiscal year (FY) 2016.  These awards represent the second release of funding to date for FY 2016.

Congress appropriated these funds under the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2016 (Public Law 114-113), which provided the final budget for FY 2016 and which the President signed into law on December 18, 2015.  A link to the law can be found here: https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-bill/2029/text .

The second quarter allotment for CSBG has been allocated and released to States, Territories, and Tribes with accepted CSBG plans.  A chart is attached to show the allocation amounts for the first quarter through December 31, 2015, and second quarter through March 31, 2016, with the total amount allocated to date.  OCS will distribute a chart with full-year allocations as soon as final allotments have been determined.
