Re: FY 2016 4th Quarter Allocations Update

Dear Colleagues:

The purpose of this message is to provide you with an update on the fourth quarter allocations of the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funds for fiscal year (FY) 2016. These awards represent the final release of funding to date for FY 2016. A chart is attached to show the full-year CSBG allocations along with the total amount allocated and released for the first, second, and third quarters of FY 2016.

As noted in prior correspondence, Congress appropriated these funds under the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2016 (Public Law 114-113), which provided the final budget for FY 2016 and which the President signed into law on December 18, 2015. In earlier correspondence, OCS noted that one percent of total funding for FY 2016 was potentially subject to reallocation based on the Secretary’s authority to transfer funding within HHS’s discretionary accounts. This authority will not be exercised for FY 2016. Please note that no reductions to the total grant allocation for FY 2016 have been made to the fourth quarter grant award and all States, Territories and Tribes have now received the full FY 2016 allocations.
