Community Services Block Grant
Dear Colleague Letter
Re: CSBG Eligible Entity Master List is Live!
Date: August 14, 2018
Dear Colleagues:
On Monday, July 30, OCS held a webinar in conjunction with the National Association for State Community Services Programs (NASCSP). The webinar provided details and training and technical assistance for the new Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Eligible Entity Master List (Master List).
The Office of Community Services (OCS) is pleased to announce that the Master List is now open within the On-Line Data Collection (OLDC) and accessible through GrantSolutions .
If you were not able to attend the webinar, OCS recommends that you first review the attached PowerPoint slides and view the live webinar here .
CSBG Eligible Entity Master List
As a reminder, all states must complete the Master List this year and submit by September 1, 2018. Additionally, the Master List must be submitted prior to submitting the CSBG State Plan. The CSBG State Plan will not populate if the Master List is not first submitted. The Master List does not require certification.
The Master List should be a complete listing of the eligible entities within your state, and includes the following information as it relates to each eligible entity:
- Doing Business As Name (if applicable)
- DUNS number
- Public or Non-Profit
- Address
- Geographical Area Served
States previously submitted these details within the CSBG State Plan Section 5. Submitting this information through the Master List will allow for linkages to the CSBG State Plan and the Annual Report. Ultimately, the Master List is a more succinct method for collecting and storing eligible entity information for your state. In future years the Master List will only require an update when there is a change to the eligible entities within your state.
OLDC Support:
OCS is committed to providing the needed resources and support to state grantees in the use of OLDC for the Master List submissions. While the OLDC Help Desk remains available to all OLDC users, OCS has worked to ensure that states have access to a knowledgeable and responsive person to address your technical questions and OLDC concerns. Please submit any technical questions or concerns regarding OLDC to both Niki Frazier, Nikita.Frazier@acf.hhs.gov and Monique Alcantara, Melania.Alcantara@acf.hhs.gov. Please also copy CSBGStates@acf.hhs.gov. This helps to ensure a prompt response to your questions.
Sincerely,
Seth Hassett
