Re: CSBG FY 2014 Total Allocations Update

Dear Colleague:

The purpose of this message is to provide you with an update on the total allocations of the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funds for fiscal year (FY) 2014.

As described in our Dear Colleague Letter dated February 14, 2014, Congress appropriated CSBG funds under the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2014 (Public Law 113-76 ), which provided the final budget for FY 2014 and which the President signed into law on January 17, 2014.

The total CSBG amount allocated to States is $657,405,190.  This is a 4.9% increase from the FY 2013 allocation of $625,263,333 and reflects all reallocations to the FY 2014 appropriation.  Final awards will be released next week.  In order to allow for expedited release of all remaining funds, States will receive the full remainder of the FY 2014 allocation in the upcoming award rather than receiving remaining funds on a quarterly basis.  A chart is attached to show the full-year allocation amount for each State.
