As indicated by the above-referenced Appropriation Act of 2006, the Congress did not fund the Community Food and Nutrition Program for FY 2006. Therefore, no allocations are available for this fiscal year. The current funds (FY 2005) must be obligated by March 31, 2006. An interim financial status report (SF-269A) should be submitted no later than June 30, 2006 and a final report is due 90 days after the obligation period, June 30, 2007. As indicated in the Grant Award Terms and Conditions for FY2005, unliquidated obligations reported on the final report will revert back to the Federal government. A final narrative report on State's Community Food and Nutrition program must be submitted by December 31, 2006 to the Office of Community Services, 370 L'Enfant Promenade, SW., 5th Floor, Washington, DC. 20447.

We sincerely appreciate the results for low-income families demonstrated through the Community Food and Nutrition program over the years of its existence and hope that families and individuals in need may continue to be served through other means.
