LIHEAP DCL Plan and OLDC System Updates

Publication Date: August 15, 2014
Current as of:

Dear Colleagues,

Many of you have already started working on completing your FY 2015 LIHEAP Model Plan in OLDC.  Since the Model Plan became available in OLDC in late July, our office has received reports from some of you regarding programming errors within the Model Plan.  We have been working diligently in partnership with the Office of Information Systems to fix these errors and are pleased to announce that many of them have been resolved.

The following issues are now fixed in the OLDC version of the Model Plan:

  • Problems with saving data in question 4.7.
  • Validation error messages for questions 4.9, 5.3, 10.11, 10.12, 11.4, 11.5, 11.6, 15.1, and 17.3
  • Questions 11. 4, 12.1, 12.2, 13.5, and 13.6 now allow all alphanumeric characters in the response field.
  • Error messages popping up in Section 5 when weatherization is not selected as a component in question 1.1.

The next time you Validate or Save the Model Plan in OLDC, the faulty error messages should disappear and the other corrections described above should take place.

Those of you experiencing problems saving data in Section 17 should follow the attached instructions to put your Internet Explorer browser in Compatibility View.  If you are using Internet Explorer version 10 or 11, this error will not occur if the browser is set to Compatibility View.

We have also heard from some of you that you are having problems copying and pasting between MS Word documents and text box fields in OLDC.  The OLDC Help Desk suggests that those of you having this problem try using OLDC with the Firefox Internet browser.  This may resolve the copy and paste issue.

If you come across other bugs or errors in OLDC, please send an email to Yuliya Rzad, at Yuliya.Rzad@acf.hhs.gov with a description of the error.

We hope this information is useful to you in further ensuing LIHEAP’s program  integrity.

Sincerely,
