Dear Colleagues,

The purpose of this communication is to remind the Office of Community Services’ grantees and stakeholders about the Administration for Children and Families’ (ACF) national convening on the American Rescue Plan Act (ARP) that will take place on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. - 3:30 P.M. ET.

President Joe Biden signed the ARP into law on March 11, 2021, investing more than $47.5 billion into seven critical and essential ACF programmatic areas. These federal funds represent one of the most historic investments in the safety, health, and wellbeing of children and families in American history. ARP provides ACF with resources to better serve the children, families, and communities at the center of our mission and build a strong foundation for the next generation, and we look forward to engaging with you during the national convening as we discuss ideas for how to best use both the ARP supplemental funds and regular appropriations strategically to help your communities and reduce systemic inequities.

We encourage you to sign up for the nation convening if you have not done so already. We also encourage you to share the attached invitation letters with state and county partners in your community.

Attached, please find the following resources:

1.           The ARP Learning Exchange Agenda

2.           An Invitation for State Leaders and Partners

3.           An Invitation for County Leaders and Partners

Thank you for your attention to these matters. OCS looks forward to continuing to provide high-quality services to OCS grantees.
