Dear Colleagues:

The Office of Community Services announces the distribution of the first release of first quarter funds for the Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) and Consolidated Block Grant (CBG) for fiscal year (FY) 2025.

First quarter funds in this release are available for SSBG grant recipients with complete, accepted plans for the period from October 1, 2024, through December 20, 2024. This includes a separate award in the amount of $147,899 to Massachusetts Commission for the Blind. SSBG-eligible grant recipients include all U.S. states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the following U.S. territories: American Samoa, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and U.S. Virgin Islands.

For planning purposes, attached is an SSBG allocation chart detailing each grant recipient’s allotment.

SSBG and CBG awards are disbursed in accordance with each grant recipient’s plan under the provisions set in Title XX of the Social Security Act, as amended. Grant recipients with incomplete plans may access their allotments upon finalization of applications and assurances, as required by law.

We appreciate your partnership and dedication to the social services and activities supported with these resources for children, families, and older adults, including individuals with disabilities. Grant recipients may contact their program specialists with questions or email SSBG@acf.hhs.gov.

Thank you and we look forward to continuing to provide quality services to states, territories, and communities.
