Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2022 Application for CSBG Funds Based on Availability of Funds

To inform states and U.S. territories of the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) application requirements for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2022. To qualify for FFY 2022 CSBG funding, states and territories must submit their state plan applications to the Office of Community Service (OCS) by September 1, 2021 using the approved online CSBG State Plan format. States and territories shall submit their information electronically through the Administration for Children and Families’ (ACF) On-Line Data Collection system (OLDC), available through GrantSolutions.gov

The purpose of this message is to encourage CSBG grantees to review and consider opportunities to support small household plumbing repairs and to coordinate a range of other services and supports for households receiving assistance through the emergency Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) grants administered by the Office of Community Services (OCS). Grantees are also encouraged to consider opportunities to coordinate intake services and, when possible, to link LIHWAP assistance to other household assistance provided by CSBG eligible entities.

To provide instructions and the application requirements for the CSBG Disaster Supplement Funds, Stage 3, Longer Term Recovery Efforts grants. Applications are due Thursday, May 13, 2021.

The purpose of this letter is to remind Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) state, territory and tribal lead agencies and eligible entities of flexibilities and resources available to support response efforts related to Hurricane Ida.

To inform states and U.S. territories of the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) application requirements for Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) funds. States and territories must submit their CARES Act state plan applications to the Office of Community Service (OCS) by September 1, 2020 using the approved CSBG CARES Act Supplemental State Plan format.

This message provides additional detail on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Annual Report requirements. This includes a discussion of reporting related to regularly appropriated CSBG (referred to as regular CSBG) as well as the supplemental CSBG grants awarded as a result of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act of 2020 (referred to as CSBG CARES) and the Additional Supplemental Appropriations for Disaster Relief Act of 2019 (referred to as Disaster Supplemental). 

This guidance serves as a reminder regarding the timeframes of available flexibilities issued by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and the Administration for Children and Families in response to the pandemic.
