The Office of Community Services (OCS), Division of Community Assistance (DCA) is offering individual Consultation Office Hours to Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) state grant recipients during the National Association for State Community Services Programs (NASCSP) 2023 Winter Training Conference.

The purpose of this message is to provide preliminary information on the Office of Community Services’ (OCS) implementation plan for the new Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Disaster Supplemental Grants with funds from the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023  (PDF) (Public Law No: 117-328), signed into law on December 29, 2022.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Community Services (OCS), Division of Community Assistance (DCA) announces the release of over $190 million of Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2023 regular block grant funding to Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) grant recipients. This funding is provided under Public Law 117-328, Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023, which the President signed into law on December 29, 2022. This release reflects an allocation of CSBG funds for the second quarter.

To provide tribes and tribal organizations guidance on how to complete and submit the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Tribal Annual Report

To notify states and territories of the requirements for Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 Annual Report submissions for the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG), CSBG Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES), and CSBG Disaster Supplemental — referred to collectively as the CSBG Annual Reports. States and territories must submit the FY 2022 CSBG Annual Reports by March 31, 2023 using the approved online CSBG format through the ACF GrantSolutions Center of Excellence On-Line Data Collection (OLDC) system.

This funding is provided under the Continuing Appropriations and Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2023, H.R. 6833 (Continuing Resolution), which the President signed into law on September 30, 2022.
