The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is releasing a total of more than $863 million available to all grantees (states, tribes and territories), which represents the final allocation of regular LIHEAP block grant funds for FY 2012.

To provide LIHEAP grantees the HHS Poverty Guidelines (Federal Poverty Guidelines, or FPG), which were issued on January 20, 2011.

 To inform States and U.S. Territories of the CSBG application requirements for FY 2012.  CSBG applications shall be submitted to the Office of Community Services (OCS) by September 1, 2011 if an application which covered two fiscal years was not submitted in the prior year.

To inform Indian Tribes and Tribal Organizations of the CSBG application requirements for FY 2012 and to provide a framework for the suggested format and “Outline for Model Tribe and Tribal Organization CSBG Application."
