The Office of Community Services (OCS) provides annual interim reports to Congress on the Assets for Independence (AFI) program, as required by Section 414(d)(1) of the AFI Act. The 16th Annual AFI Report to Congress presents the status of the AFI program as of the end of federal fiscal year (FY) 2015.

The report and four related appendices are available for download below.

  • AFI Report to Congress – This file includes both the two-page executive summary and the 19-page main report summarizing data on federal administration and activities; grantee implementation of AFI projects; and IDA holders and asset purchases.
  • Appendix A. Additional AFI Program Data – This appendix provides some additional AFI program data.
  • Appendix B. Projects Operating Under Section 405(g) of the AFI Act – This appendix explains the authority provided in Section 405(g) and provides an in-depth look at the projects funded under this authority in Indiana and Pennsylvania.
  • Appendix C. State and Territory Highlights Through FY 2015 – This appendix provides a jurisdiction by jurisdiction history of AFI funding and outcomes.
  • Appendix D. Project Highlights Through FY 2015 By Date – This appendix is a chronological listing of AFI grants made through the end of FY 2015 along with key project data.
