The Office of Community Services (OCS) looks forward to working with you to create sustainable employment and business opportunities for individuals with low income and to improve the quality of life in your community.

About the CED Grantee Orientation Toolkit

The CED Grantee Orientation Toolkit is a one-stop shop for new CED grantees to find all the information you will need to get your grant off to a strong start. The materials are broken up into four sections. Review each section thoroughly, and be sure to refer back to the resources as you need to throughout the life of your CED grant.

Getting Started with Your CED Grant

  • View your Notice of Grant Award (NGA)
  • Understand CED program objectives and requirements
  • Understand Federal requirements for your grant
  • Identify which forms must be submitted for your grant
  • Know where to find technical assistance and resources

Working with ACF and HHS Offices

  • Identify the 3 primary ACF and HHS offices you will work with:
    • Office of Community Services (OCS)
    • Office of Grants Management (OGM)
    • Payment Management Services (PMS)
  • Know how to contact theses offices for help on your project

    submission process
  • Collect and report data for your grant
  • Access and use the Data Collection Tool
  • Submit PPRs through OLDC
