Re: CSBG FY 2014 2nd Quarter Allocations Update

Dear Colleague:

The purpose of this message is to provide you with an update on the second quarter allocations of the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funds for fiscal year (FY) 2014.  Today’s awards represent the second release of funding to-date for FY 2014.

Congress appropriated these funds under the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2014 (Public Law 113-76 http://beta.congress.gov/bill/113th-Congress/house-bill/3547/text ), which provided the final budget for FY 2014 and which the President signed into law on January 17, 2014.  Final allotments are still being determined. The second quarter allotment for CSBG is being released to all States, Territories, and Tribes that have submitted complete plans.  A chart is attached to show the allocation amounts for the first quarter through January 15, 2014 and second quarter through March 31, 2014, and the total amount released to date.  OCS will distribute a chart with full-year allocations as soon as final allotments have been determined.
