LIHEAP & ARP: Colorado Spotlight
Colorado used American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds to increase Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) support, helping 85,000 households with winter heating fuel and paying arrearages for 30,000 households. It also provided an extra $600 to each eligible household. Colorado has seen a 10% increase in LIHEAP applications every year for the past three years, so ARP funding was crucial to helping families.
