Successful partnerships can foster great accomplishments.

Over their seven-year relationship with HPOG, Central Community College (CCC) has helped over 1,600 students achieve their dreams of entering the high-demand healthcare field through Project HELP (Health Education Laddering Program).

This success involves strategic partnerships with schools, community agencies, and employers throughout Nebraska.

The partnerships provide education, training, and supportive services to program participants.

Project HELP gives access to training for stable, well-paying jobs in healthcare. A network of four regional community colleges allows students to complete the nursing program best suited for them. Residents of 77 counties in Nebraska have access to the prerequisite courses and wrap-around services needed to complete a certification program.

Project HELP has successful partnerships with CCC’s Kearney Center and Kearney High School, which work to promote Certified Nursing Assistance (CNA) courses. The program also aims to build relationships with other high schools and community agencies. These are a powerful recruitment tool for students and minorities throughout the state.

Christina Miotke, Career Coach and Recruiter for Project HELP, calls it “a win-win-win” for students, employers, and educators. “Relationships form the basis of almost every best practice we have,” she says.

CCC has strong partnerships with local employers, which help participants   secure a job once certified. Employee empowerment and retention helps builds strong communities across Nebraska.
