FVPSA recognizes the need for increased support services, such as shelters, trauma-informed care, and effective interventions for children exposed to domestic violence and sexual assault. We are addressing the issue by administering nearly $1B in American Rescue Plan federal grants and supplemental funds. Training and Technical Assistance
The table below underscores our commitment to providing technical assistance and strengthening relationships with our grantees. These efforts are paramount to implementing comprehensive services, which will improve the COVID-19 related health and well-being outcomes, provide domestic violence and sexual assault services for survivors, and reduce health disparities caused by intimate partner violence.

The National Health Resource Center on Domestic Violence hosted a webinar for 130 grantees on December 7, 2021. The webinar was designed to address health inequities in marginalized communities and how ARP funds could support survivors and agencies who were impacted by Covid-19. Specialized training and technical assistance | To assist FVPSA grantees with the implementation of ARP supplemental funding, the FVPSA Program has provided training and technical assistance webinars on the implementation of workforce capacity building to assist with staffing shortages; strategies for partnering with health care providers and strategies for implementing mobile health units to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 as well as offering more strategies for implementing mobile advocacy services, remote services, and teletherapy services. |
